Climate change and the global pursuit of more sustainability are increasingly bringing the use of renewable energies into societal and political focus.
Particularly due to the solar obligation already in effect in several federal states starting in 2025 - for new buildings, roof renovations, and commercial properties - the pressure to act on builders, companies, and public authorities is growing. Further legal requirements are also emerging nationwide for the year 2026, which are likely to significantly accelerate the expansion of photovoltaic systems.
Our extension and installation cables have been specifically designed for the highest demands in solar systems - both for outdoor use and for complex installations in home projects or professional system solutions.

Installation cables
Our high-quality PV installation cables are the ideal connection solution for photovoltaic systems and solar systems. With their high voltage resistance of DC 1500V / AC 1kV, they are optimally suited for use between solar modules, inverters, and other components. The solar cables are weatherproof, durable, and environmentally friendly, ideal for long-term outdoor use in professional and private solar projects.
✓ Flexible & easy to lay
Perfect for professional and DIY solar installations
✓ Optimal conductivity and excellent corrosion protection
Thanks to tinned copper conductor
✓ Extremely robust
Thanks to XLPO insulation & sheath resistant to weather and UV radiation
✓ High temperature resistance
Suitable for temperature ranges from -40°C to +90°C
✓ Increased safety
The cables are flame-retardant according to EN 50618:2014
Available lengths: 20 m & 50 m
Diameter: 6 mm2

When do I need which cable?
Our DIGITUS extension cables3 are perfect for connecting individual solar panels together. To reduce loops caused by excess cable lengths when connecting the individual modules, different cable lengths can be chosen.
To connect the solar systems to the inverter1 over longer distances (up to 50 m), the DIGITUS installation cables2 are the right solution. Due to the 6 mm2 diameter, large drill holes - for example in house walls, when the distribution unit is located inside the building - are avoided.
Together for a green future
In order to preserve a livable world for future generations, responsible corporate decisions determine our course - and this from the very beginning. With our trainee initiative ASSMANN goes green, we take a step further and enable the younger generation to incorporate their own ideas and implement projects that are close to their hearts.
Corporate environmental responsibility includes critically questioning aspects such as electricity consumption, packaging waste, and means of transport during business trips.
We are convinced of our work and it has paid off!
With the initiative ASSMANN goes green, we set ourselves the goal of sustainably and permanently improving our energy and resource consumption. Therefore, we have created an energy management system and had it certified according to DIN EN 50001:2018!
Managing Director Phil Penninger: “Thus, we are supported in our efforts to continuously measure and, above all, optimize the environmental performance of the company in the future.”
